seAp provide new advocacy service for MK

seAp is now the provider of advocacy services for Milton Keynes. It will be supported by Citizens Advice MK for the next 2 years to deliver this contract.
seAp have taken over from POhWER, who previously provided advocacy services for Milton Keynes.

May Bank Holiday pharmacy opening hours

Patients are being urged to be ready for the May bank holidays by planning ahead for repeat prescriptions.   Many pharmacies and GP surgeries will be closed on Monday 7 and Monday 28 May, so remember to plan ahead now and collect repeat prescriptions/medicines well ahead of the bank holiday.

Perinatal mental health survey

Have you given birth between 2015 and now, and have suffered from mental illness ranging from mild to moderate (acute)? Do you live in the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) area? The people who provide and pay for services would like to hear from you.
Survey results will be used to help the people tasked with redesigning local services in the area ensure that they are more tailored to patients needs.

Healthwatch Board of Trustees vacancies

We are looking for members with experience and expertise in one or more of the following fields to join our Board of Trustees: Information Technology, Law, Human Resources, Communications and Marketing, Governance.
The Board of Trustees is our main governing body and is responsible for policy-setting and management. Apart from the practical experience listed above, you will need to demonstrate a broad interest in health and social care issues, and be able to devote several days a month to the work of the Board.

Healthwatch Health and Social Care Committee (HSCC) vacancies

If you have experience of the Health and Social Care system and services, either as a patient, service user, family member, carer or through previous professional experience, we would like to hear from you. You will need to be able to devote time to bi-monthly meetings.
The Health and Social Care Committee (HSCC) is a sub-committee of our Board of Trustees. It helps the CEO develop business plans, monitors the impact of our activity against our strategic objectives.
