Courses by Community Voluntary Service (CVS) Take a look at some of the upcoming courses from CVS Beds. They offer a range of free workshops designed to help organisations to get into gear with fulfilling their legal obligations, preparing to make good funding applications and more .Courses include Fit for Funding, Outcomes and Impact, Trustee Skills and Safeguarding Awareness.
Safeguarding Training through Acorn Training CentreAll Courses currently run from Acorn Training, Westcroft District Centre, Milton Keynes, All courses can also be brought to your setting to be delivered in house, a 1/2 day course can work out at roughly £15 per head for 20 people and a full day course can work out at £30 per head. New group in West Bletchley! 

New group starting at West Bletchley Community Centre.  It starts on Wed 29th January 2020 and is weekly at 10 am. Snakes and Ladders Club, to play an assortment of board games, do jigsaws puzzles and play card games. £2 including refreshments. Find out more

MK Council calls for MK pupils to become next generation of Eco Warriors

Following a successful trial with four primary schools, MK Council is rolling its ‘Eco Warriors’ environmental education scheme out across MK. Eco Warriors encourages pupils in years 3-5 to learn about recycling and the environment. Read more

Extra Funding For Troubled Families Programme in MK

Milton Keynes will receive an extra £774,400 of Government funding to support vulnerable families as part of the Troubled Families Programme. The programme provides intensive support for some of the most vulnerable families. Read more

SEMLEP Community Grants Programme  The Community Grants programme offers Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations grant funding from £10,000 to £20,000 to deliver local projects that make a difference within local communities in the South East Midlands . Find out more
Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust The objectives of the Trust are to donate to UK registered charities whose purposes encompass one or more of the following: to benefit or protect animals, to relieve animals from suffering, to conserve wild life, to encourage the understanding of animals. RHS Greening Great Britain

RHS has a theme of Growing Connections in 2020. Groups are invited to apply for hands-on support from the RHS Community Outreach team, along with a grant of up to £500, to create or revamp a place that will help to bring people together and benefit others in the community.  Apply by 14 February.
