INTU Climate Change Engagement 

CA:MK are going to the INTU Shopping Centre on Wednesday 29th January to engage with the public about their experience of climate change and their ideas on how to best take action. We will be outside the Waterstones between 10am- 4pm. Find out more about our work on climate change.

MK Bereavement Service: Introduction to bereavement counselling course

The course is designed for anyone who is interested in becoming a bereavement support volunteer with Milton Keynes Bereavement Service or for those wanting to enhance their understanding of grief to use in their own workplace. Read more

Table Tennis England: Free Table Tennis Packages #MK20in20

To celebrate MK 2020 European City of Sport, we’re giving away 20 table tennis packages to deserving groups based in MK, to enable them to introduce table tennis and let the local community experience the many benefits the activity brings. Read more

Pop-up in Station Square

In response to the feedback on the open space outside Milton Keynes Central station, MKDP is now looking at introducing initiatives to make the square a more welcoming and interesting place. The first being explored is the introduction of temporary ‘pop-up’ spaces this summer. Read more

Milton Keynes Health and Wellbeing Board Reading Session

The Health and Wellbeing Board meets on Wednesday 5th February at 6:30pm at the Civic Offices.  Peta Wilkinson is our Representative on the board.  To help Peta in her role, we are organising a session from 2:00-4:00pm to read the papers on Friday 31 January.  Find out more and RSVP

Primary Care Networks Survey 
NAVCA is working with our members and other VCSE infrastructure organisations to gauge their involvement in Primary Care Networks in local areas and to establish the ability of the sector to engage with these new ways of working in the NHS. Read more and take the survey

Creative Europe – Cross Sectoral Strand

Creative Europe is the new framework programme for the cultural and creative sectors for 2014-2020. The programme will target the needs of the cultural and creative sectors, particularly in terms of promoting jobs and growth potential, and will promote cultural and linguistic diversity. Read more

People’s Postcode Trust – Community Project Small Grants

Short-term, designated funding is available for projects which focus on the promoting human rights, combatting discrimination, and preventing poverty in Great Britain. Find out more

Arts Council England – Creative People and Places Fund 2020-2024
Grants for consortia in parts of England where people’s involvement in arts and culture is in the bottom third of engagement to develop a programme of cultural activity and engagement over four years but with a 10-year vision. The funding is for new places across England. Read more
Swimathon Foundation Community Grants scheme

Grants are available to local not-for-profit organisations whose projects help to promote swimming in local communities across the UK.

Biodiversity workshop
