New Safeguarding Portal

Following a combined £1.2 million DCMS and National Lottery Community Fund investment, a new portal has been launched to strengthen the support to charities handling safeguarding concerns or allegations. The portal will be promoted by NAVCA and five other organisations across England.
Join the SaferMK Partnership Board as the VSC Representative

SaferMK is the statutory Community Safety Partnership responsible for formulating and implementing a strategy to tackle local crime and community safety issues.  The Partnership board is appointing a new Voluntary and Community Sector Board Member and a Deputy. Read more
Milton Keynes Rose Pancake Race: call for local businesses!

The project team for the Milton Keynes Rose are challenging all local businesses to compete in the inaugural Milton Keynes Rose Pancake Race on Shrove Tuesday, 25th February 2020. The team at the Rose are looking for businesses to enter teams of four people to take part in the race. Read more

BSL Level 1 Course – 26 February

Our Level 1 course is designed to help you achieve the necessary skills needed to communicate using British Sign language. We provide an enjoyable, supportive environment where you will learn signs across a range of topics so you can be confident when signing with a Deaf person. Read more

Milton Keynes Council to trial move to ‘wheelie bins’ and fortnightly recycling collections

Recycling sacks will be scrapped and recycling collection changed to being fortnightly in parts of Milton Keynes soon as part of a trial which could then be rolled out across the Borough. Read more

The draft revised Neighbourhood Plan 2020-31 is now open until 11 March for public consultation and an Open Day will be held in the Village Hall from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 29 February where residents will be able to get the answers to any questions they may have. Read more
