Macular Degeneration Lenses: Chris Skelton of Henry Smith & Hamylton, opticians, will demonstrate these lenses which have been specially developed to help with AMD. Come along to see if they might work for you and open up new horizons!

Current Research: What is happening and how we might help. We welcome again Julie Edwards from the Macular Society, this time with encouraging news on all types of macular conditions.

Discover fun way to exercise and learn to dance. Visually impaired as well as sighted ladies and gentlemen are welcome. We have an excellent dance teacher who is experienced in helping the visually impaired as well as sighted individuals.

Supporting Disabled People into Leadership Roles
The Equality Council UK are proud to be announcing the Disability Leadership Programme Summer School.
The DLP Summer School is a FREE four week programme aimed to tackle the under representation of disabled people on decision making bodies.
This project has been made possible by a grant from Peoples Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity, funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The course will cover skills such as Public Speaking and confidence building as well as ways to deal with confrontation, conflict and stress. Following on from the course, attendees will be supported to apply for positions on boards and for their first few months attending.

In support of a vibrant community providing a meaningful working life for adults with learning disabilities, Camphill Milton Keynes Communities Ltd will host their Winter Artisan Food & Craft Fair on Saturday 10th November.
Hosted inside the specially built community theatre Chrysalis Milton Keynes, the indoor event will showcase their very own artisan baked goods, preserves, honey, cordials and vinegars, traditional textiles, unique one-off art & craft items.
CMKC have invited a further 30 hand-selected local crafters, makers & artisans to join them. Expect original photography, creative bakes, soaps, craft gin, upcycled wood, jewellery, festive gifts, curry pastes, chutneys, plus local art demos by MKSA, Christmas gifts and home and fashion accessories and creative gifts made in-house within the Camphill workshops.
“Camphill communities have proud roots in creativity, art, craft and drama and our interest in creating community is in our name.
Our Artisan Food & Craft Fairs are an excellent opportunity to share our work, build relationships with fellow crafters from the local area and show off the creative skills of our residents and staff”. Tim Davies, CEO CMKC.
Refreshments will include freshly baked good and beverages accompanied by local musical talents.
All funds raised will go back into the vibrant charitable community.
